GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition Release Date and Keyboard Controversy
Grand Theft Auto’s highly-anticipated Trilogy: The Definitive Edition is set to release on the Epic Games Store, as leaked by Billbilkun, who has a reputation for accurately leaking gaming information.
According to Billbilkun, the trilogy will release on January 19 at 4PM UTC. In addition to the release date, the GTA trilogy will be on sale with a 50% discount for its first week.
A new Steam API update also suggested a similar release date on Steam, which could happen in the coming weeks.
However, despite the excitement around new gaming peripherals like Grand Theft Auto keyboards, fans appear to be less than thrilled about the upcoming release.
Last year, a set of keyboards designed for gaming, based on popular Grand Theft Auto games, received massive criticism from fans upon launch.
The keyboards were subject to review bombing on Metacritic, resulting in a user review score of 0.4/10 at its lowest point, among the lowest scores on the site.
Reporters noted that several user reviews criticized the keyboards for their art style and the lack of advance copies sent to the press, with some demanding refunds.
It is currently unclear if the PC version of these keyboards has addressed the issues that led to their poor reception.
